I have installed the same version of GPG4Win on both old and new PCs and then copied over the whole <C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\gnupg> folder to the new one.
It all seems to work. Is this OK or am I possibly heading for trouble in the future?

this should be fine (under the condition that you did not configure something very special manually yourself).
As always, keep a backup. And if the secret key material operations work on the new machine, you have completed a good test.

This is actually very useful for us as we have several people dealing with matters relevant to these keys.
Being able to just replicate the gnupg folder makes it very easy.
Obviously this only works if all need identical setups.
