Hi, it usually is okay to install the GnuPG installiert over the Gpg4win installer, if it is the same major version. So Gpg4win 4.1.0 comes with GnuPG 2.4.0 which is major version 2. So using 2.4.2 should be fine. But yes, a Gpg4win release is forthcoming (as announced in the GnuPG 2.4.2 mail). Regards, Bernhard |

I'm not sure if updating only GnuPG while also having Gpg4win installed would lead to problems but you don't have to update GnuPG. If there were security issues in GnuPG which would be solved in a new version of GnuPG then Gpg4win would also receive an update. |

The SUMo software monitor http://www.kcsoftwares.com/?sumo has been telling me about a new GnuPG version for some time now. The current version on https://gnupg.org/download/index.html is v2.4.2. Should we be updating to this version, even though Gpg4win hasn't been updated? Thanks! |
