Summary:
WinPT 1.2.0 crashes when trying to refresh keys from LDAP keyserver

Detailed description
I get a crash when trying to refresh keys stored on an LDAP server. By the looks of the log it seems that WinPT is trying to talk to the LDAP server as if it were a HKP server, causing the crash.

LDAP support will be removed in 1.3.1. It never really worked and if people are forced to use an LDAP server, they can use GnuPG as an alternative.

I need to check the GPGME API for such a funtionality.
The problem is, that I would need details in case of errors,
otherwise I cannot generate proper messages for the user to summarize the situation.

Why not just execute gpg --refresh?

Thanks for the report. Actually the LDAP keyserver support should be considered broken and will be removed in future versions or be rewritten.
