Summary:
OpenVAS for port scanning

Detailed description
Currently, a machine with http open can be detected by openvas if the port range is set to 80 or we put a customize range not greater to 100 ports, but if the port range is set to default it cant detect. the plugin I enabled is only Check Open Ports under General family. Im doing a test to use openvas as a port scanner for some legacy systems.

What I noticed:

1. If you enter a port range (around 100 ports), it will detect the open port of the machine. (you need to wait for 3 minutes to scan again otherwise the result if you re-scan immediately will not be the same)

2. If you use default ports with plugin Check Open Ports under General family, it will not detect an open port in the machine.

I tried openVAS as the scanner becuase it can detect more.

The workaround I did is to input known ports to the port range (the disadvantage is that non common ports will not be detected)

Im not sure if this is really a bug, but it would help if this will be fix so I dont need to use nmap anymore.

We check this issue with bchandra and it seems that Check to Perform Concurrently is overlapping especially with multiple target. Interim, is to set the concurrently to 1
