File Release Notes and Changelog
Release Name: 6.0.5
This is the fifth maintenance release of the openvas-manager 6.0 module for the Open Vulnerability Assessment System release 8 (OpenVAS-8). This release addresses a number of issues discovered after the release of OpenVAS Manager 6.0.4 and incorporates several improvements from the development branch of OpenVAS. Please see below for a comprehensive list of changes. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this release: Hani Benhabiles, Matthew Mundell, Timo Pollmeier and Michael Wiegand.
Main changes compared to 6.0.4: * An issue which caused reports to appear empty due to report generation scripts being installed with insufficient permissions has been fixed. * An issue which caused processes spawned by OpenVAS Manager when executing schedules to miss signals when executing scheduled task due to an overly restrictive signal mask has been fixed. * An issue which caused credentials to not be used when a user ran a task for which the target credentials were owned by another user has been addressed. * The activation and expiration time of certificates used for OSP scanners is now properly verified. * The handling of dynamic severities for OSP results has been improved. * Usernames are now allowed to contain dot (".") characters. * Manager now uses "zh_CN" instead of "zh" when referring to the Chinese language. * Support for configurable subjects and messages in email alerts has been added. * Support for ports in OSP results has been added.
