Microsoft’s November patches were applied to my Win 10 Pro system over night. Today, attempting to send signed mail with Enigmail stalls. Kleopatra Version 3.0.0-gpg4win-3.0.0 stalls with “loading certificate cache.”
I have not attempted very much debugging because I must teach a class on cryptography (!) shortly. I wonder whether anyone else has seen this problem and whether there is a fix for it?
This appears to be a false alarm, for which I apologize. The Windows update failed and left a bunch of things broken. I still do not have it completely fixed, but GPG4Win appears OK.
There certainly is the possibility that updates for windows, outlook
or other related components may break Gpg4win once in a while,
so it is fine that you’ve asked.
And it is good to know that it is not the case this time.
