Kleopatra won't decrypt file, terminates during decryption

In the middle of decrypting a file, I get the following Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error:

“The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application’s support team for more information”

Can you elaborate which Version of Gpg4win and Windows you are using?

how was the file encrypted?

Is it supposted to be an OpenPGP file or something else?
What is the file length?

Encrypted as OpenPGP
Filesize = 293,654,140 bytes

For diagnostic reasons, can you try to decrypt the file on the command line
and does this work?

The command should be something like:
gpg -v --decrypt YOUR-FILE-NAME

Does the encryption work with other files or does it fail with all files?
If some files work and others don’t: What may be the difference between those files?
