Could anyone tell me how to convert .txt to .asc, .cer, .cert, .gpg, or one of the file types Kleopatra will accept?

If you have the key in TXT, and in “pure” (i.e., un-corrupted) state, just rename it to .ASC and export.
Just to be sure, before exporting, open it using Wordpad or Notepad in Windows and visually check if it “looks like” the one shown on Page 60 of the manual which I attached to an earlier post.
Then export.
